FAQ

What Is Foster Care?

Foster care is a temporary arrangement in which adults take care of a child or children whose biological parents are unable to care for them. The main mission for the foster care system is to reunify the child or children with their birth-family, however adoption may be considered if it is deemed to be seen as in the child's best interest.

What Is The Difference Between Foster Care and Adoption?

In both foster care and adoption, the children are cared for by people that are not the birth-parents. However, while foster care is temporary, adoption is permanent. Children in foster care may transition into adoption if it is deemed to be the best interest of the child.
